About Us

Following many months of diligent market research, Dependable Process Servers (DPS) was incorporated in January, 2008. DPS came into existence as the result of our CEO’s experience within the field of civil law, gained through representing small business and attorneys as the Registered Agent for an industry recognized Investment/ Financial Company based in the Washington Metropolitan D.C area.

Our market research included interviews with over 100 lawyers/ law firms, legal publications, American Bar Association and other targeted, reliable sources. The research revealed that the most common challenge attorneys experience while working with process service/ legal service companies is a lack of dependability.

In June, 2007, 52 civil/ small claims cases were forwarded to a reputable lawyer in D.C to be filed for judgments. The lawyer called 30 days later and reported having serious challenges finding dependable process service companies to serve the respondents. This scenario set the stage for the development of what is now DPS.

The foundation of our organization is our mission:

“We Do What We Say We’re Going To Do.”

To back these words with action, we offer free services to our clients if we do not follow through with our agreement.

To ensure the success of our mission, we have incorporated a rigorous employment selection process. Our Staff* is comprised of experienced legal service professionals, active and retired law enforcement professionals.

The bottom line is you can have full confidence that:

  1. We will do exactly what we say we are going to do, when we say we are going to do it.
  2. If we do not follow through with our agreement, the requested service is absolutely free.

*For security reasons, the privacy of our staff’s personal information is of the utmost importance. We will release this information to our clients who are requesting this for the purpose checking for any conflict of interest that may impose a risk to legal cases.
